Arizona's 2026 Accomplishments and Important Election Dates

Dear Friend,

Over the past year, I've appreciated the opportunity to communicate with you about the issues shaping Arizona's future.

From the cost of living and tax relief to border security, public safety, education, parental choice, and government accountability, we've shared legislative updates, policy developments, and the work of Arizona House Republicans.

During the 2026 legislative session, House Republicans reported several accomplishments, including:

These accomplishments and additional legislative actions are documented in our 2026 Arizona House Majority Report

  • A budget package providing an estimated $1.43 billion in income tax relief over four years.
  • Tax provisions addressing tips, overtime, childcare expenses, and retirement income.
  • Continued support for Arizona's school choice programs.
  • Funding and policy measures addressing public safety and government spending.

As House Republicans in the Majority, we have presented a clear vision for Arizona's future, centered on economic opportunity, lower taxes, public safety, educational choice, and responsible government.

We strongly believe these policies will improve the lives of Arizona families and help build a stronger Arizona for generations to come.

Throughout the legislative session, our priorities have sometimes met opposition from Democratic lawmakers and Governor Hobbs, including votes against legislation and way too many gubernatorial vetoes.

Those disagreements reflect competing visions for Arizona's future, so I encourage you to examine the legislative record and judge the results for yourself.

As we approach Election Day, I encourage you to review the legislative record, learn about the candidates and ballot measures, and make your voice heard.

Arizona's important election dates are:

  • October 7: Early voting began.
  • October 23: Deadline to request a ballot by mail.
  • October 30: Last day of regular in-person early voting.
  • November 3: General Election Day.

Early voting gives you flexibility, particularly for voters whose work, family responsibilities, or travel plans could make Election Day difficult.

You can find your voting location, review official instructions, and learn how to return your ballot at Arizona's official elections website.

When do you plan to vote?

Thank you for following our legislative updates, asking questions, and staying engaged throughout the year.

It is an honor to serve you and the great state of Arizona. Help us keep a Republican Majority in the Arizona State House of Representatives.

Michael Carbone
Arizona House Majority Leader

Dear LD25 Friends, Last week, I wrote about housing affordability after our Legislative Town Hall at Arizona Western College. One of the points I made was simple: Arizona has a housing supply problem, and access to land is a big part of it. Now, new information from the Legislature's Joint Ad Hoc Committee on State Land Oversight shows why this conversation truly matters. BUCKLE UP! Arizona is currently short approximately 56,000 homes, while about 276,000 acres of potentially developable...

Dear LD25 Friends, This week, I had the opportunity to join fellow Yuma-area legislators at Arizona Western College's Legislative Town Hall for about 90 minutes of questions and conversation about the issues affecting our communities. It was incredible and I always look forward to these. We covered a lot of ground... water, housing affordability, education, workforce challenges, childcare, technology, state trust lands, and more. These conversations matter because good policy starts with...

Thank you to everyone who took a moment to tell me which issues matter most to you. Three topics rose to the top: border security and public safety, cost of living, and election laws and government accountability. I appreciate hearing directly from you, and I want to follow up by sharing some of the work that has taken place at the Legislature on each of these priorities. Border Security and Public Safety Arizona’s border communities experience the consequences of drug trafficking, human...
