The Primary Is Behind Us. Now the Real Work Begins

Dear LD25 and statewide friends,

Arizona's Primary Election is now behind us, and I want to begin by thanking everyone who took the time to vote. Our voter turnout wasn't as high as we had hoped, but we are grateful to those who participated in this very important civic duty. It will be important to make a big push for a Get Out the Vote effort this November. The stakes couldn't be higher.

I appreciate every single one of you who voted for me in the Primary. Whether you volunteered, knocked doors, made phone calls, encouraged your neighbors, or simply cast your ballot early or on Election Day, you played an important role in strengthening our representative form of government. Thank you!

The primary was never the finish line... actually, it was the starting line.

Now our attention turns to November and the opportunity to preserve Republican majorities in both the Arizona House and Senate.

A Strong Primary for Arizona Republicans

After analyzing the data from the Primary Election results, here's my take on it. Overall, Arizona Republicans had a successful primary election.

Across both legislative chambers, Republican voters nominated a strong slate of candidates for the November General Election. Most Republican incumbents who sought re-election were successful, preserving experienced leadership and allowing us to move forward with a unified team. I cannot express how much this matters and how helpful it is.

In districts with multiple Republican candidates, voters made their choices clear and, from what I am hearing, the vast majority of races seem to have concluded without significant division.

Rather than spending the coming months recovering from difficult primary battles, Republican candidates can now focus on the task ahead: winning in November. That unity is one of our greatest strengths as we prepare for the General Election.

Why keeping the Majority Matters for 2027 and 2028

The Arizona House and Senate currently operate with very narrow Republican majorities. That means every legislative seat matters.

Maintaining Republican majorities allows us to continue advancing fiscally responsible budgets, protecting taxpayers, defending educational freedom, supporting law enforcement, strengthening our economy, investing in Arizona's infrastructure, and ensuring our communities remain safe and prosperous.

Control of the Legislature determines far more than final votes on bills. It determines which bills receive committee hearings, which ideas move forward, how the state budget is negotiated, and ultimately the direction Arizona will take over the next two years.

Simply put, majorities matter.

Our Plan for November

The campaign now shifts from Republican versus Republican to Republican versus Democrat.

Over the next several months, our focus will be on supporting Republican nominees across all 30 legislative districts, communicating our positive vision for Arizona, and encouraging every Republican and conservative-leaning Independent voter to participate in the General Election.

Just as importantly, we must continue growing and strengthening our coalition by reaching voters who want safe neighborhoods, a strong economy, excellent educational opportunities, lower taxes, and a government that lives within its means.

One of the biggest opportunities before us is electing a Republican Governor who will work collaboratively with the Legislature. Over the past several years, many bills passed by the Legislature have ultimately been vetoed before reaching the Governor's desk.

A Republican Governor, working alongside Republican majorities in both chambers, would allow Arizona to move forward with greater certainty and provide a clearer path for legislation that reflects the priorities of Arizona families. That is a vision worth working toward.
