Tomorrow Is Election Day: What's at Stake for Arizona?

Dear Friend,

Tomorrow, November 3, Arizona voters will make important decisions about the future of our state.

Throughout the past year, I've shared updates about the issues affecting Arizona families, including the cost of living, taxes, education, public safety, border security, and government accountability.

As House Majority Leader, I've also worked to keep you informed about our legislative accomplishments, the proposals we've advanced, and the challenges we've encountered.

The governor and Legislature have different but closely connected responsibilities.

  • The House and Senate consider legislation, establish spending priorities, and negotiate the state budget.
  • The governor can sign legislation into law or veto it. Overriding most vetoes requires a two-thirds vote in both legislative chambers.

The political makeup of these offices can significantly affect how legislation advances, how disagreements are resolved, and how the state budget is negotiated.

A governor and legislative majority who share priorities may find it easier to reach agreements. When they disagree, additional negotiations and compromises may be necessary. Neither arrangement guarantees a particular outcome.

🇺🇸 As you consider your ballot, I encourage you to examine the candidates' records and positions on the issues that matter most to you and your family.

Election Day is tomorrow, Tuesday, November 3.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you still have your completed early ballot, you can return it at an authorized ballot drop-off location by 7 p.m. tomorrow, but at this point, your early ballot will be deemed a "late early ballot," so it is actually better for you to go vote in person.

Thank you for staying informed, participating in our conversations throughout the year, and taking an active interest in Arizona's future.

It is an honor to serve you.

Michael Carbone
Arizona House Majority Leader
