Dear LD25 Friends,
As summer moves along and we look toward November, I've been thinking about something that can get lost in the day-to-day headlines: how much we've actually accomplished together.
When our Republican majority began this legislative term, we laid out priorities centered on making Arizona safer, more affordable, more accountable, and better prepared for the future. We've had victories, we've had some hard-fought battles, and yes... we've had plenty of vetoes. But through it all, we've kept working.

Keeping Arizona Affordable
Arizona families work hard for every dollar they earn, and government needs to remember whose money we're spending.
That's why we've continued fighting for responsible budgets, lower taxes, fewer unnecessary regulations, and policies that allow businesses to grow and create jobs.
We've also worked to address the things that directly affect household budgets... housing, energy, transportation, and the overall cost of living.
A strong economy doesn't happen because government spends more. It happens when families and businesses have the freedom and opportunity to succeed.

Planning for the Arizona of Tomorrow
Arizona is growing, and pretending otherwise isn't an option.
We need reliable energy to power homes and businesses. We need water policies that protect our long-term future. We need roads and infrastructure capable of supporting growing communities.
That's one reason I've worked so hard on advanced nuclear energy. We can't wait until Arizona needs significantly more power and then start planning for it. Starting now is the smart thing to do.
I was honored this year to be named a 2026 Nuclear State Champion, but what matters much more to me is ensuring Arizona has the reliable, affordable energy necessary to remain competitive for decades to come.

Protecting What Makes Arizona Special
Economic opportunity is only part of the equation.
We have continued defending school choice and parental rights, supporting law enforcement, protecting taxpayers, helping our veterans, and insisting on accountability from government.
These aren't abstract political issues. They affect whether families can choose the right school for their children, whether neighborhoods are safe, whether businesses decide to invest here, and whether people can afford to call Arizona home.
That's the Arizona I'm fighting for.

And That's Why November Matters
Our Republican majorities in the Arizona House and Senate are narrow.
Every seat matters because the majority determines which bills receive hearings, which proposals reach the floor, how our state budget is negotiated, and what priorities ultimately move forward.
This November, we have an opportunity to protect those majorities AND elect a Republican Governor who can work with the Legislature to turn more of those good ideas into law.
We've accomplished a lot, but I'm not satisfied with stopping here. There is more work to do in 2027 and 2028, and I would be honored to continue doing it as your Representative.
Thank you for your trust and support.
Sincerely,
Michael Carbone Majority Leader Arizona House of Representatives
